Schedule issues, how to split workouts efficiently?
« on: August 13, 2020, 06:02:09 PM »
Hello everyone,

First I want to apologize if the question has been asked previously, I searched the forum for a few hours and could not find a definitive answer.

I know that the workout has been intended to be run without splitting it, but the best I can do is M/W/F 1h workout at noon on these days and another 1h after work.

Let's take for instance 37v2 week 1 day 1. (intermediate medium load)
Is it better to do:
- noon workout: Bench + bench + chest muscles
- evening workout: Squat + Good morning
(resulting in smaller pause between the two "bench waves")

Or
- noon workout: Bench +squat + bench
- evening workout: chest muscles + Good morning
(resulting in assistance very far from main exercises...)

Or another way that I cannot think about?
Again, I am very sorry if the question has already been answered, and I can't wait to start the program hoping it is well suited to me regarding my numbers (83 kg bodyweight, s/b/d 175kg/135kg/225kg)

Best regards,
Christophe

Both splits are valid and I have seen both used successfully. Boris programs enough work to be successful even under less than ideal circumstances.

Maybe there can be made some points about hypertrophy stimulus being greater when you do the secondwave with more fatigue, so both being in one workout. However, for lifting as a skill, having an exposure to the lift in both sessions, so noon bench, evening bench, is definitely resulting in greater technical learning.

So while tending to the latter option, if you feel like one of the two options is better for yourself or you just like it more, I would go with your personal preference.
