Hello all,

I am currently on week 4 of Prep 2 in the 20 week, 4 day program. The full cycle is aimed at peaking for a major meet in August but I have a minor meet a the end of this block (after week 6 Prep 2) where I will only be aiming to express 90-95% of my true total.

I will complete weeks 4 and 5 as written but the question is: For week 6 can I just cut out days 3&4, drop all accessories and reduce the volume slightly on days 1 & 2 to achieve my goal or should I use the final week from the Competition block as a template for that week?

I know that in the long run with the aims I have it probably won't matter either way but I would still like to hear opinions.

I have seen some people commenting that they run the Intermediate 3-day program with inflated maxes.

Is this a common approach? Are there any benefits in doing this?
