Sumo deadlift form check
« on: January 26, 2016, 09:38:56 AM »
Wanting a form check for my Sumo technique.

This is 150kg for 3. My current max is 200kg, so it's not huge weight, but was just focussing on lifting as technically 'well' as possible.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

Looks like the bar is too far infront of you , i would try a wider stance so you can push knees out more and this will allow you to get your hips closer to the bar and help you sit back more, you can see on the 2nd rep the bar rolls outward and you need to pull it back again.

just my opinion though bud.

Thanks so much for your feedback man.

I completely agree. While the bar rests against my shins at the start position, I think it moves away a bit too much from the body after that.

I'm only new to pulling sumo, so the only reason the feet aren't a bit wider is just mobility, something I'm working on. I will keep in mind keeping the knees out too.

Cheers
