There are three types of setting up for benchpress. Choose any you wish. You probably don’t  have such flexibility as girl on the photos has. Practice, practice and practice. And your arch will be better. Good arch – good result!

Are there any situations in which one setup is definitely better than the other?  For instance, when I bench equipped, I use the technique outlined in photos 7 through 14 because it does less to move the shirt.  When raw however, I prefer the bottom illustrated one.

7-14: also my favorite, especially for equipped, only difference is that I take it reversed grip in the middle first and then take the grip before setting the feet.

It doesn’t depend on which competition you compete in: raw or equipped.

When i tried to put my feet on the bench my arch has improved a lot and my bench pressaccordingly!!!
