IPF Raw Worlds 2014
« on: June 05, 2014, 05:56:23 PM »
Is on right now, who's watching?

You can stream it from here: http://goodlift.info/live.php

I've got lots of mates over there now and was meant to be lifting there myself but had to pull out. Sheiko student Stephen Pritchard will be lifting on Sunday in the 120s against US superman Mike Tuscherer (sp?).

Hours ago i saw a lot of chicks in the -72kg class that did not know how to spread their legs. That is UNACCEPTABLE!!

I think this kind of comment is unacceptable.

These women compete on the same platform as their male counterparts and demand exactly the same levels of respect. These women are athletes, not sex objects.

While watching the stream last night I too commented to a friend about how common knee valgus collapse seemed to be amongst the women, but turning such an observation into a debasing and belittling remark as you have done is something I don't think should be tolerated.

I kind of agree. Some light innuendo is ok as humor but overt sexism and lewdness will not be tolerated.

Sure I belittled them. They're nothing but sex objects and I only watched them lift to jerk off.

Seriously, it was a joke. relax.

RAW World Championships 2014 is not finished yet. But the absolute winner by Wilks is already known I guess.

A joke, yes. Acceptable, no.

Whether you meant it in harmless fun is besides the point. Jokes like this aren't funny precisely because they're insideous.

I'm not sure if this is just a cultural difference or something, but nobody would react like this in Denmark.

The New Zealand junior Brett Gibbs broke that record. He took 83 class junior and open records for squat (280kg) and total (770.5kg).

There has been some great lifting and many records have fallen.
