Classic or sumo deadlift?
« on: June 09, 2014, 01:47:39 AM »
Hi people, in this period i'm trying classic deadlift. Always i do sumo deadlift but when i lift 90% or more my technique is destroyed and i feel the lift too much too difficult, "out of pulling".  Some people says that i pull the sumo like a classic deadlift
This is my last deadlift in competition:

In these days i've tryed to pull raw and light gear a classic deadlift. Raw i feel really better! But geared is really really hard!
This is the classic deadlift video

in order of appearance:
1) classic, 2x185kg (80% of raw deadlift)
2) half sumo (i've also tryed half sumo) 1x200kg (75% of geared deadlift)
3) classic geared deadlift 1x200kg (75% of geared deadlift)
4) half sumo
5) classic

Even if the video does not appear,  I heard 200 of classic very heavy.

I think that i need some practice, but i don't know if I should change.

What's your opinion?

Thanks a lot.

You have to choose only one style which allows you to pull the most weight with greater comfort. If you train both styles seriously it will be hard to achieve good results.

He answered your question.  You pick the style you can do the most weight with.  So whatever that is, is the style you should use.

If I watch your video and give a comment, thousands of similar questions will appear  tomorrow.
Hope you understand me.
