Working around AC joint sprain
« on: July 05, 2018, 06:26:06 AM »
So not exactly sure how it occurred but went to ortho and was diagnosed with AC joint sprain.  Doctor said I can go to gym but to avoid presses and anything that causes it pain.  While it is improving slowly in curious what to do in the meantime.  Can I substitute pendlay rows in for bench for example for a month or so?

Why not just skip the pressing parts ? You need recovery.

I have been skipping all the pressing for the last 2 weeks since it occurred.  I meant since it is healing slower than I would like, I'm expecting to have to give it another few weeks before I can press again.  But in the meantime should i just train squat and deads?  I was thinking of replacing bench with pendlay row just so I'm working on something upperbody.

I've been doing back and arms just as accessories without any issues thus far.
