I first found it out through Talmant's work. But the two things that helped me understand the methodology behind the programs were the info in the Aussie bb site and of course mainly, this site and the new book.

Which site? Ausbb or United Strength?

The old Chase T spreadsheet is the first thing I read in 2010 or 2011.  Immediately made far more sense to me than the general American programming I had been following for years prior to that.

After doing starting strength for a bit, and then 5-3-1, I decided to train more technically. I wanted higher volume to allow an emphasis on form. I looked around and read about Sheiko on elitefts and t-nation, but was a little dubious about the "Sheiko programs" floating around the web. Then I found his website and online student program, and figured that was a great opportunity.

Swedish training forum Kolozzeum hosts a thread about Sheiko's different programs. Read up a bit on it and tried #29.

I had downloaded an application on my mobile -StrengthCalc and among many routines it mentioned "crazy russian routnes".

Many of my friends advised me not to follow it and that's why i did the opposite and started it.Never regreted.

A guy once posted a Sheiko routine on another lifting forum, thought it look interesting.

I joined this forum to hopefully get some sights in the program.

I discovered Sheiko training while searching online for Russian Powerlifting programs. It seemed very interesting and unlike anything I was currently doing.
