How can I (sumo) deadlift like Yuri Belkin?
« on: October 02, 2017, 11:41:57 PM »
I know this might be asking too much, but is it possible to learn how to deadlift like Yuri Belkin does? Not weight wise of course, but form wise.

In this link we have Yuri sumo deadlifting 300kgs with, in my opinion, perfect form.

In this link you see me deadlifting 220kgs.

How can I make my form more like Yuris? Mostly I think about how upright he manages to get his torso compared to mine. I also need to work on the distinctive lock out of the knees when the bar is around those parts.

Do I need to stretch or strengthen some muscles, fix my setup, try different cues or is it maybe a problem with hip structure/limb lengths or something else I can't really do anything about?

Thank you!
