Hi Robert

Sorry for one more question.

Due to an injury (unrelated to training) I am about to start again with Sheiko Gold.

I have one question please

Following the observation period will the programming be similar to the style of programming I entered during the observation period but with the AI input, or will it be 'typical Sheiko' style programming but based on my volume/strength inputs?

For instance if I was doing a 531 style program in the observation period would the AI program in this style?
Or would it be more typical Sheiko programming?
Or neither?

I hope that makes sense?

I am just starting the app regardless I was just wondering.

Hi Robert

Sheiko Gold looks fantastic, I am currently in the observation period. I'm really excited to see how it programs for me as I have found it hard to consider all the different options when trying to adapt/adjust the original templates.

One question I have is will I be able to split a workout up if needed? My schedule sometimes doesn't (but sometimes does) allow for a 2hr session but I can do two 1hr sessions.

I also train when on shift at the Fire Station so sometimes get disturbed by a call!

So I guess I'm asking if I can 'pause' or split a workout if needed?

I want to do them as prescribed and will do my best to but I was just wondering.

Hey guys if anyone has any feedback for me on this lift I’d appreciate it.
It’s only about 75% of my current max and nowhere near my all time but just trying to nail my form.
Anyway any opinions would be great.

Hi mate.

I believe the general advice is to follow the main lifts as prescribed. Then with the accessories pick something for the muscle group that is shown. Generally the advice is to leave a couple of reps in the tank for accessories.

Also if you want to add more exercises then feel free but don’t turn the sessions into an accessory fest, adding in some light or pump back work is often recommended.

If you are new to sheiko then I would wait and see how you feel after a week or two before changing much, other than some light back work if you want to.

Hi guys

I have done a long search but struggled to find an exact answer to my question, apologies if this has been asked before (and it probably has).

When I do the skills test and enter the reps I get for that percentage will the app adjust my max and/or the subsequent weights for the rest of the plan?

Hi Mate

I am far from the most qualified to answer this but I'll give you what I know until someone with more knowledge/experience answers.  :)

Firstly, there are now bench specialisation programs on the ios app. So I am guessing one of them would be the best option for you?

As for the frequency, benching more frequently will be skill development as well as normal muscle/strength gain.

With the accessories, I haven't done the bench only program but with the standard programs I run the program as prescribed and add in a bit if back/bicep work and judge it by feel. I used to prefer everything planned out so it has taken a bit of time for me to get used to it but it seems fine now.

If you are new to Sheiko I would run a cycle as prescribed and see how you feel.

Hi guys

Would I be correct in thinking that i can add some accessory work in addition to the specific exercises in the app?
Just some general back and maybe arm work really.
As long as I keep it submaximal I'm guessing it wouldn't be a problem?

Hi guys sorry I missed your replies.
Thanks for taking the time.

My all time best total is 512.5kg
But right now it's probably more like 400kg.
We had a babya couple of years ago and whilst I was still training, certainly not with the same intensity/effort.

I have also recently moved to a more quad based squat as I kept getting adductor problems from my previous stance.

Yeah this is my first proper go at Sheiko. Since putting in my recent numbers the app has suggested the intermediate medium load cycle.

Any suggestions?

Hi guys.

I get really severe DOMS from the squat sessions. To the point where I can't train them again for 4-5 days.

Could I run the first prep cycle but do half the number of sets. Then repeat it and add one more set each time I do the cycle until I do it in full?

At the moment I am just so sore it's stopping me training again for 4-5 days.

What do you guys think?
